Froma Walsh, Ph.D. is Professor Emerita, Crown Family School & Dept. of Psychiatry at the University of Chicago, and is Co-Founder & Co-Director, Chicago Center for Family Health. Dr. Walsh is an international authority on family resilience and expertise with complex and traumatic loss. Her research-informed Family Resilience Framework is adapted globally in research, policy, and clinical/community services. Dr. Walsh, a Psychologist, is Past President, American Family Therapy Academy; Past Editor, Journal of Marital & Family Therapy; and recipient of many awards for her distinguished contributions and scholarly publications. Her notable books are: Normal Family Processes: Diversity & Complexity (4 ed., 2012); Strengthening Family Resilience (3 ed., 2016); and Complex and Traumatic Loss: Fostering Healing and Resilience (2023).
