Lauren Harris is an Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at the University of New Hampshire. Her interests center on romantic relationships, early stages of family formation, gender, aging and the life course, and qualitative methods. Her research investigates the meanings, processes, and transitions of family formation, particularly in the stages of searching for a romantic partner and beginning a romantic relationship, at different parts of the life course. Her most recent work has explored experiences of searching for, meeting, and dating potential romantic partners for older adults (ages 60-80).
